Holiday Dress Guide - Part ๐Ÿ™

Christmas Party

The days are shorter and Christmas is approaching quickly! Which also means RSVPing to holiday parties of all formalities. ๐Ÿธ  Let me go ahead and give your Christmas present early by introducing you to Rent the Runway! RTR is Netflix for dresses extending over all occasions. ๐Ÿ‘— A platform to allow you to rent clothing from top couture designers for a fraction of the cost of purchasing it. We all have special occasions in our life that require a dress that will probably only be worn once: holiday parties, weddings, VIP events, awards shows, etc.

I first came across RTR when I was searching for a flashy printed, brightly hued summer cocktail dress for the CMT Awards back in June. I found this little number and was so ecstatic to find exactly what I was searching for without having to spend the $460 retail price. RTR allows you to accessorize your look with jewelry, handbags, sunglasses, and even coats for the chillier occasions.

Buying/renting online can be difficult: will it fit when it arrives?! RTR gives you the option for a second size absolutely free. Reading the reviews of women who have previously rented the dress in question is invaluable. RTR allows you to find reviews of women similar to your height, measurements, and size to pick the perfect fit. How long will I have before my event to make sure my look is foolproof? You can select between a 4 or 8 day rental. Your look arrives in a sleek carrying case and returns are always free to you.

For my 2016 Christmas Party look I decided to go with an elegant crimson Bardot-neckline midi dress I already owned, merely because I feel stunning and timeless every time I wear it... but I then hopped on RTR to accessorize with these perfectly exaggerated crystal drop Kenneth Jay Lane earrings. I chose my Mackage structured mini cross body bag with removable strap from their Arrow collection to accompany me for a slightly masculine tiny briefcase look. ๐Ÿ’ผ Finished off with the transcendent Christmas pattern: tartan plaid ankle strap flats from J. Crew.

Below I've rounded up my favorite Rent the Runway holiday looks for this season's Christmas festivities. Including this red number very similar to my ASOS dress! I also threw in my picks for accessories to really polish off your holiday party look!

Below that I have included links to my outfit if you're looking to invest in some special occasion pieces. ๐Ÿ‘

Happy Holidays to all! If you try Rent the Runway, let me know your experience in the comments! โœ— A

P.S. Stay tuned for Part 2! ๐ŸŽ‰
